As your child gets ready for kindergarten, we focus on:
Your five-year-old is agile, coordinated, and always on the move. They’re mastering both gross and fine motor skills with confidence.
This age brings a leap in logic, reasoning, and curiosity. Your child can solve problems, follow multi-step instructions, and is hungry to learn.
Five-year-olds love to talk —and now they can really express themselves. They’re telling stories, asking big questions, and starting to read and write.
Friendships deepen, empathy grows, and your child begins to manage emotions and conflicts with greater skill.
At five, your child is ready to lead parts of their day. We give them room to rise to the occasion—while still offering gentle support.
By age five, your child’s safety knowledge and ability to navigate their surroundings improve. Children begin to understand personal responsibility and make choices that reflect awareness of their safety and the safety of others. We continue to support healthy eating, active living, and proper hygiene, preparing them for their transition to kindergarten.
At this stage, children are expected to follow safety guidelines independently, such as walking safely in the classroom and playground, handling tools and equipment with care, and understanding basic emergency procedures. Their growing sense of responsibility for their own well-being sets the foundation for a successful transition into formal schooling.
Pacesetter Academy is arguably the best Preschool in the Miramar/Pembroke Pines area. My child has been attending this school for about a year and a half and his knowledge base has increased tremendously.
